This was such a long week! So much has happened that's made this week good and bad. We had sickness pass through the house & we left Daddy to go see his family. (bitter/sweet) It was such a memorable time, but I wish Justin could have come with us. We also got to see Uncle Austin's new house! (It takes me back to when Justin and I were in college in Pensacola..... oh the memories)

Emmett & Karleigh both were sick. [WOW!!] Talk about a miserable house. These sweet kids were running fevers, coughing and their noses were dripping! Emmett got this little bug first! After 2 days of a non stop fever of at least 101 we decided a doctor appointment was necessary. It turns out that his little bug turned into a double ear infection! I was shocked because he never showed any signs that his ears hurt. Karleigh refused food for 4 days aside from some liquid. :( It was pitiful! Both kids got extra snuggles and some mommy lovins and were back to themselves after a few long days.

 

 

 

If being sick wasn't enough, we were at Gigi's house visiting our family in Alabama! Even though the kids weren't their happy selves we still had a fun time. We mainly stayed inside my mother in laws relaxing (because I didn't want to get the kids out & about with them being ill) but we did make it to the Peanut Festival Parade for some fun. The little mini vacation was nice but it would have been so much better if Justin could have joined us. Sadly, he had to work so he wasn't able to come. I really hate being away from my other half but the kids and I needed to spend some time with family we haven't seen in quite a while.

 

Karleigh had a blast playing with Kylie (our friend's daughter that's 4 months younger than KP). She and Kylie were so cute chasing each other and sharing toys. Karleigh is the youngest baby girl in the Reeder family and she's spoiled rotten. Her Gigi bought her tons of new clothes & tiaras! She, of course, looks precious in them all! She really enjoyed seeing Melanie and Mawmaw and Gigi and some honorary aunts. The time and love our Reeder family show my baby girl is so dear to me. She's such a loved little girl, who looks just like her Daddy.

 

Emmett is the baby of the family. He is also spoiled rotten but he's still nursing quite often so he's a mama's boy for now.. He only wants Mommy and cries when I'm not touching him. Karleigh was the same way. Eventually, when he's a little bigger he'll out grow this stage. Until then, I'll soak in every cuddle and moment we have together. He did get some precious bonding time in with his Gigi and Mawmaw. Those moments are the reason I'm sad to know he's possibly our last baby. I just love watching our family love on our kids. It's like we've given them the most precious gift.

 

All in all we had a beautiful weekend making sweet memories with beloved family. <3 Even through the illness my sweet kids faced, they were so well behaved and lovable. I'm so grateful to have family to love my kids! We're blessed beyond measure to share time and joy with each of them.
