You&Me + Three!

Pinterest, of course, has been a great source of inspiration. 

First project on the list? Hooks for our coats & bags!! We decided to bring some color into our house, so we ended up deciding on a green coat holder. 

      1. Pick out 3-4 hooks, paint/primer, & a 4 foot piece of wood (we went with 1 inch thick), you'll also need 4 2 3/4 inch screws.

       2. First paint/prime the board. Be sure to let it dry over night before mounting. After 2 coats of primer the board needed 3 coats of valspar paint. 

        3. Screw the board into the wall. Be sure to mount it to studs! I left this job for my hubby. 

         4. Screw hooks equal lengths apart to the board. Also, hubby's job. 

It was incredibly easy. And very cute. 

          2. Take glass out of frame.

          3. Clean & Spray paint frame whatever color you want.

          4. Clean glass and spray with chalkboard paint according to directions.

           5. Let dry, put together, hang. 

Emmett Lane is still a turkey though. This monster must have mommy 24/7. Boob baby FO SHO. It could have to do with the fact that he FINALLY has 2 teeth! :D He's still not crawling but he is tolerating tummy time more & more.

Karleigh is starting to play more with Emmett. I die everytime I see them together. Y'all, it's the sweetest thing ever. They love each other so much already. I can't wait to watch their relationship develop over the next few years. I hope and pray they're close.
 

So this month was New Years! Welcome 2014. WELCOME. We moved into a new house as well. New starts around. Emmett's new room is Auburn themed.. And it's perfect. I'm so in love. 

We're all adjusting to life in the new house but so far we're in love with it. Emmett even sleeps in his crib some nights. :) He has is very own Auburn room... which I'm excited about but I think Daddy likes it even more.

Emmett is eating more and more solid food. He really loves fruit but is tolerating more veggies as well. I really enjoy feeding him. He's not a messy eater. He likes food to much to be wasteful. Which is funny because the child is a bean pole. Long and skinny! -Not sure where he got that from.

This month we got a little snow! For Florida it was s a huge deal. The ground was white, the schools were shut down, and the water was frozen. Daddy even got a few days off due to the 'snow'. Of course we got out all of our cold weather clothes, and brought the kids outside to play in it for a few minutes. I didn't think Emmett would ever get use of his thick jacket!




We also got to celebrate the coming arrival of my dear friend Lexie's, daughter with a baby shower! She'll be about 8 months younger than my sweet Emmett. I really hope these two will be the best of friends one day! We'll see! I just love that my best friend gets to see what being a Mommy is all about. It's the single greatest gift ever. I could go on, but this is Emmett's eight month post so I'll spare you. <3 <3 <3
